Brrr—where did that chill in the air come from? It seems that fall is finally here, and soon we’ll be treated to the annual display of colors that paints the trees, and delicacies both apple and pumpkin (potentially with spice).
The Library will be closed on Saturday, October 12th, in observance of Indigenous Peoples' Day. The book drop & sale in the front vestibule are available 24/7 for your convenience.
Furry Friends of NH
Join Ranger Kendra from the Student Conservation Association at the Library on Tuesday, October 1st at 6pm to learn about our wild animal neighbors and their unique characteristics that help them survive, and check out some touchable furs and bones!
Candy Time!
The library will once again be collecting candy to distribute throughout the village to make sure trick-or-treaters are well-stocked. Donations of sealed bags of wrapped treats can be brought to the library until October 26.
Once Upon a Story Hour
Join us on Saturday, October 19th at 10:30am for a visit from Once Upon a Story Hour, with special guest Ms. Frizzle! Read aloud and craft for kids of all ages.
Matinée Café
The Matinée Café is a monthly movie showing for adults on one Sunday every month!
Mark your calendars--the next Matinée Café will be held on Sunday, October 20th The house will open at 2pm, and the movie will begin at 2:30. This month's movie is Thelma(2024, PG-13).
Crafting with Amanda
Get witchy with Amanda on Tuesday, October 22nd from 4-6pm and make a potion bottles and a spell book. Registration required. Email Amanda for more information.
One Book One Valley
The 2024 One Book One Valley selection is The Road to Dalton, by Shannon Bowring. A limited number of copies are available at the Library. The author talk for this year's selection will be on Thursday, October 24 at 7pm, at the Majestic Theater in Conway. For more information, check out the One Book One Valley website.
Mah Jongg
Mah jongg is back at the Library! Stop in on Mondays and Fridays from 1:30-4:30 to play.
Preschool Story Hour
Join us Wednesdays at 10:30am for an hour of stories, songs, activities, crafts, and more! For children ages 2-5 and their caregivers. Check our Facebook page for a preview of each week's theme.
Cribbage
Drop in at the Library on Wednesdays from 2-4pm for Cribbage! Stop by and play the classic game with other folks. New players are always welcome to learn the ins and outs of the game.
Crochet with Amanda
