Librarian's Corner

I always associate the arrival of spring with a sudden explosion of green; lately, though, I’ve been noticing lots of other colors making their presence known as well. Matinée Café

The Matinée Café is a monthly movie showing for adults on one Saturday every month! Before and after each showing, there'll be a chance to have some light refreshment and chat, or talk about the movie.

Mark your calendars--the next Matinée Café will be held on Saturday, May 20th. The café will open at 2pm, and the movie will begin at 2:30. This month's movie is Living (2022, rated PG-13).

Volunteers Needed

As we get ready for the Summer Reading Program, we'll need volunteers to help make things happen! Volunteers can:

  • Bake cookies for Game Night and/or Pizza Time
  • Pick up pizzas for Pizza Time
  • Help out with Fun Friday activities
  • Serve pizza at Pizza Time
  • And maybe more as the summer goes on!

If you'd like to volunteer to help out, there will be a sign-up sheet at the Circulation Desk for cookie makers and pizza drivers, or you can call or email to let us know!

Yarn Arts. Drop in at the Library for our Yarn Arts Group. Bring your latest knitting/crocheting project and hone your craft with others. If you're a beginner, come to watch others work and learn. Heck, even macramé would be okay!

Cribbage. Drop in at the Library for Cribbage! Boards and cards provided, but feel free to bring your own as well. Stop by and play the classic game with other folks. New players are always welcome to learn the ins and outs of the game.
