I don’t remember how old I was when I first learned how to crochet, but it’s a skill that I’ve put to use fairly frequently over the years. I’ve gotten pretty good at scarves, and have been known to cobble together a stuffed animal or two when feeling inspired (and possessing sufficient yarn).
The Library will be closed on Thursday, November 24th & Friday, November 25th, in observance of Thanksgiving. We will be open on Saturday, November 26th. The book drop & sale in the front vestibule are available 24/7 for your convenience.
Yarn Arts at the Library
Starting November 15th, drop in on Tuesdays from 5-6:30pm at the Library for our Yarn Arts Group at the upstairs table. Bring your latest knitting/crocheting project and hone your craft with others. If you're a beginner, come to watch others work and learn. Heck, even macramé would be okay!
Starting November 16th, drop in on Wednesdays from 2-4pm at the Library for Cribbage! Boards and cards provided, but feel free to bring your own as well. Stop by and play the classic game with other folks. New players are always welcome to learn the ins and outs of the game.
Join us on Friday, November 18 for Fun Friday! Feel free to come to any or all of the programs.
Please remember that anyone attending the After-School Activities should be participating in the offered activities. Those who do not wish to participate may want to arrive for Pizza Time later.

Holiday Cards with Amanda
As part of Freedom Rings In the Holidays, come join Amanda at the Library on Saturday, November 19th from 10:30am-12:30pm to create your own holiday cards! We'll have materials on-hand for you to create that special card for the holiday season. For more information, email Amanda at asst@freedompubliclibrary.org.
Giving Tree
From November 16 - December 17, we'll be partnering with Starting Point to host a giving tree at the Library. Stop in to see what items are being sought; take an ornament with an item, and bring that item in to place under the tree.
A Bit of Housekeeping
At the beginning of January, we will be deleting all patron records which expired in 2018. If you haven't renewed your library account in a while, make sure to call the library before the end of the year.
