Pick up your pumpkin starting: Wednesday, September 17

While supplies last! All ages are welcome to participate.



Stop by the Circulation Desk to register for the Tiny Pumpkin Art Show! Decorate your plain, white, pumpkin at home between Tuesday, September 17- Saturday, October 4 and return it to the library for the art show.  Starting Tuesday, October 6, the pumpkins will be displayed at the library for an on-going art show! Come vote for your favorite pumpkin between Tuesday, October 6-Thursday, October 30. The winner will be announced on Halloween, and they’ll receive a prize!

It's not too late to get a copy of Half Baked Harvest to join this month's Cookbook Club. Pick a recipe, making the suggested serving size (no need to double it!), and share your dish at the library. We'll sample each other's dishes and talk about our cooking processes. 

Can't make it this month? The October cookbook is available and ready to check out, we'll meet on Tuesday, October 21 at 5:30pm to taste dishes from Mi Cocina.

Children and caregivers of all ages are invited for an hour long story time and craft. We'll decorate mini birdhouses while we explore what it means to be a good neighbor!

At the first meeting of the Nonfiction Book Group, we'll discuss The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson. Can't make it this month? We'll meet next month on Tuesday, October 28 at 6:00pm to discuss The Immortal life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot. Copies are will be available at the Circulation Desk, call or stop by to inquire.

Join Molly at the FVS for conversational German. All levels are welcome! Let's aim to speak in German (or Germ-lish) for an hour while we enjoy a coffee or tea. Topic of discussion: where are you from? We'll meet again on Wednesday, October 22 and Wednesday, November 26.

For our first film, we'll watch O Brother, Where Art Thou (2000) (PG-13) Run time: 1hr 47 min. Snacks and beverages will be offered at 2:00pm, the movie will start at 2:30pm. Next month, in honor of Halloween and to celebrate the film's 50th birthday, we'll watch Jaws (1975) (PG) Run time: 2hr 4min on Sunday, October 26 at 2:00pm
