Freedom School Partners has always stood for social justice and racial equity and we will continue to stand in solidarity with the scholars, families, and communities we serve.
We feel pain and anger after the horrific and senseless killing of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmad Aubrey. The fact that their names have joined a long list of black and brown men and women who have been murdered by the brazen actions of others, especially those who’ve sworn to protect and serve, has us mourning with you.
We will link arm in arm with our scholars, our families and partners to dismantle systems designed to uphold violence, injustice, and inequities. We will listen, we will support, and we will fight for justice and demand change.
At Freedom School Partners, we are dedicated to increasing opportunities for all children and giving them tools and experiences to expand their horizons and ignite their passions. We strive to help our scholars develop the confidence and self-efficacy to
make a difference
in their lives, their families, their communities, their country and their world. We endeavor to ensure that all children in our community have access to high quality summer learning opportunities and we utilize books that reflect diverse cultures, heritages and experiences because we want our black and brown scholars to see themselves – as well as our white scholars to see them

in literature that showcases the undeniable value of black and brown people in our society. We encourage our scholars to dream big when it comes to imagining their futures…but if we want our children to achieve their future goals and dreams, we’ve got work to do.
