11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, ns to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Empowered by Faith

Being able to trust your life to God is the beginning of the end to fear, worry, feeling inadequate, anger at others, anger at ourselves. We are free from the power we give our enemies; free to love everyone with God’s love, free to forgive, even ourselves.

It sounds easy, but of course it isn’t. It is letting go of our need to try to control situations beyond our control, our need for self-importance, our sense of entitlement, our need to be right. On our own, this is almost impossible, but in God, it becomes who we are.

The core of freedom in this world is faith that God is who he says he is and does what he tells us he will do. We are free to face whatever the world’s challenges us with the faith that God has a plan for us. When we are in Christ, we live in the love of Christ, and the love of God, demonstrated through Jesus, lives through us.

But we must trust, and walk out in this world in God’s love for his creation and all his children everywhere. That is an understanding that must be more than an idea or thought. The understanding of it in your mind must move to a place in your heart that is forever. We can only do that with God’s help every day.
