It is for freedom that Christ has set us free, therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to the yoke of slavery.

Galatians 5:1

If you continue in my word, then you are truly disciples of Mine, and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.

John 8:31-32

Reflection Questions
  • What does the word "freedom" mean to you?
  • What are you being held captive to?  What do you need to be set free from?
  • What does it mean for you to be a son or daughter of God?
  • Do you feel loved and accepted by God?  Why or why not?

Spiritual Practices
  • Name an area of your life where you feel you are being held captive.  Pray to God for you to be released from that habit or fear or whatever it is that is keeping you captive.
  • Thank God that you are his son or daughter and that you are loved with an everlasting love.
  • Say a prayer to God, specifically addressing him as "Daddy."

Daddy, I thank you that you love me with an everlasting love and that nothing can separate me from that love because I am a part of your family, the family of God.  I pray that you would release me from the things in my life that prevent me from realizing the freedom in Christ that you have given me.  May I live in the truth that I have been liberated in and through Christ, in whose name I lift up this prayer.  Amen.

Our Core Practices

Christ has no body on earth but yours, no hands but yours, no feet but yours.  Yours are the eyes through which Christ's compassion for the world is to look out; yours are the feet with which He is to go about doing good; and yours are the hands with which He is to bless us now.
