Hello Fremont -
I have to say that Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. Although I have given up on the candy I love the costumes, kids and just everyone getting out the creative spirit to dress up and have fun. I mean how can you not have fun when you are dressed up!! I hope you have fun plans for this evening and don't just stay home.
My Pick of the week... not possible, too much happening just tonight to even attempt to pick one event. So, Fremonsters, put on those costumes and get out there to celebrate the fall and the creative, quirky neighborhood, in which we live, work or just party!! Costumes contests through the 'hood all night, I enjoy a tasty beverage as you watch kids trick-or-treat from 3p - 6p - what better reason is there to leave work a little early!
In the News, as you might expect lots of articles about what to do for Halloween - as if you needed ideas!! Also our local blogs talk about tomorrow's clean of Fremont - hope you can join. And Congrats to Fremont Brewing for taking away 2 Medals from the American Beer Festival!!
Have a great weekend & Happy Halloween!! Jessica Vets Fremont Chamber of Commerce Executive Director

Solid Ground in partnership with community businesses has put together a holiday gift basket that will make this holiday season a little better for those in crisis.
These holiday gift baskets include:
- 1 Kitchen Item (pot, pan, bowls, utensils, towels, etc.)
- 1 Blanket or 1 Sheet set
- 1 Children's book
- 1 Children's toy (for each child in household ~$10)
- Gift card ($50-$75)for food (preferred locations include Fred Meyer, Wal-Mart, Target, Safeway, Big Lots, Grocery Outlet)
This year we hope to deliver holiday gift baskets to 175 families. A donation of $125 will allow us to build one holiday gift basket and make one family happier this coming season.
