LETTER FROM MRS. HOLMAN & MR. WOOD

Dear FES Students and Families,

Welcome back! We are so excited to have all our students back and once again hear the sounds of our fantastic Bears in the halls and on the playgrounds. We have missed you! We hope you had a wonderful summer full of fun, family, friends, and some rest too. We also hope that you are excited to be back in school learning with your teachers and your friends. This year is going to be an awesome one!

When you step into the halls of FES this August, you will see some new faces. Of course, you will see new students, but you will also see some new staff too! We want to welcome all of our new staff members and students to FES. You are joining a great family!

Bears welcome back to school!

It’s going to be a great year!

Yours truly,

Mindy Holman and Dave Wood

RETURNING FREMONT BEARS!!!

The 2025-2026 school year has arrived and we know that family contact information (phone number and email) may have changed over summer break. If you have had a change in your contact information, please log on to your Parent Portal account and update your personal information.

In the event of an emergency it is important for school personnel to have accurate and up-to-date information to contact parents and guardians.

If you have had a change of address, we ask that you complete the Household Information and turn it back into your school office. Household Information

Please be aware that if your child has moved out of the Fremont RE-2 boundary, you will be required to fill out and submit a boundary waiver to the school for approval. Boundary Waiver

If you need assistance logging into your Parent Portal account, please contact the District Registrar at 719-784-2552.

TRANSPORTATION

Riding the Bus

To accurately schedule transportation for our students, we need to know who will be riding the bus.

Please call the transportation department at 784-6312 ext. 2540 or email Guy Church, transportation director at cchurch@re-2.org to communicate your needs directly to us. We are asking parents to do this as soon as possible so the district can start finalizing transportation requests.

REMINDERS

ALL visitors are REQUIRED to present a valid ID to enter the building. Please stop by the office when you leave to return badge.

Food Items

Any food brought to the school for parties, events, etc….must be pre- packaged, store bought and have labels on them. The reason for this is because we have students with severe allergies such as, but not limited to tree nuts.  We are asking that you refrain from sending peanut or tree nut products to school. Please reference student handbook.

A Reminder From the Health Office:

Please make sure to update your student's information through parent portal. Without being updated, our Health Tech cannot administer any medications to your child during the school day. This includes Tylenol, cough drops, bug bite cream, antibiotic ointment for any cuts or scrapes, etc.

No medications, including cough drops, may be carried to and from school by a student. All prescription medications to be taken at school, need to have the proper paperwork filled out by both the parent and doctor and submitted to the Health Office.

The Health Office needs to be aware of any health concerns your student may have. This includes any allergies, medications, or health problems.

Immunizations are required by Colorado Law to attend school. Please be sure your student is up to date with immunizations. Exemption forms may be picked up in the Health Office.

It's important to have current phone numbers listed in Infinite Campus for any emergencies. Parent contact will be made for all head bumps.
