Bennett Elementary Honors Rhonda Dillard

Bennett Elementary held a surprise parade to honor Rhonda Dillard who is retiring after 42 years in education. Rhonda is the current Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and has served at Frenship for 22 years. She became a Tiger in 2003 as the principal of Casey Elementary and later the first principal of Bennett Elementary. On Thursday, she walked the halls of her old campus while students in each grade cheered her on with handmade signs of congratulations and well wishes. Congratulations, Rhonda, on your well-deserved retirement!

Frenship High School Fashion Design Students Create Caps for Cancer Patients

Students in the fashion design program at Frenship High School are using their skills to support cancer patients and spread kindness one stitch at a time. Their handcrafted caps and blankets are being donated to families through Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Matt Bruce from Alcove Trails Middle School was named the Middle School Social Studies Teacher of the Year and Saundra Wimberley from Crestview Elementary was named the Elementary Social Studies Teacher of the Year.

During a ceremony last night, nine Frenship High School seniors were recognized for earning the Seal of Biliteracy. These students have studied and attained proficiency in two or more languages by high school graduation. By earning the Seal of Biliteracy, the students are considered bilingual and biliterate, a talent very few high school students have accomplished.

The Frenship Foundation is now accepting Teacher Grant applications for the 2025-2026 school year! Since 2013, the Frenship Foundation has proudly awarded more than $450,000 to Frenship teachers to fund innovative projects, technology, supplies, and creative lessons that spark a love of learning. The deadline to apply is June 4.
