Winter Market #15

April 19th, 2025

Hoppin' Into A Groovy Weekend

Weekend options include but are not limited to: Making time to gather with family and friends over a meal. Going outside and enjoying some real spring temperatures. Digging in the dirt. Celebrate all things green. Get a bread bag from Apple Ridge Farm because it's cute and get you $1 off bread.

With salad greens, root crops, sourdough bread, farm fresh meats, and kiffles a'plenty our winter market vendors are here to add some local to your tables. Or to help you when you get some serious munchies.

Looking ahead, Earth Day is right around the corner! Consider brining your own bag, or donating an extra to the market for someone in need. We have bike racks outside the Easton Public Market and lots of walkable shops and parks in and around town! As we slough off the season of rest & recoup, there are a bounty of ways to pair eating well with getting active around Easton. Scroll down to the Events section to learn about some fun ways to participate in running, walking, and biking.

Need mushrooms to replace meat in a main meal? Great, particularly the largest shiitake are fabulous to marinate and grill or roast (or airfry!) best of all we have a ton of them, and we are bringing them to market this Saturday!

Two Brothers Nut Butters

It is Easter without peanut butter eggs? We think not. Check out this recipe from Two Brothers Nut Butters.

-Chocolate Peanut Butter Eggs-

•2 hour total time

•Yields about 3 pounds of candy

1/2 cup softened butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 package of softened cream cheese

1 cup creamy honey whipped peanut butter

2 1/2 pounds confectioners sugar

2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Crushed peanuts for topping (optional)

Mix butter, vanilla and cream cheese together in a large bowl. Use your hands to stir in confectioners sugar to make a workable dough.

Line a cookie sheet with wax paper, roll dough into egg shapes and place on sheet to be frozen. At least an hour. Melt chocolate chips, add oil to thin chocolate if needed. Dip chilled candy eggs into chocolate and return to cookie sheet. Refrigerate to harden and enjoy!
