FROM RACHEL YATES, PRESBYTERY EXECUTIVE
 DISTANCING
I'm learning lots of new phrases these days, like "respiratory etiquette." I imagine that's what my husband breaches when he rolls toward me in bed and snores. "Hey," I poke him and use my new catch phrase, "mind your respiratory etiquette!"

Another phrase that has become commonplace is "social distancing." Because of the rapid spread of the coronavirus, we are urged to distance ourselves from others, whether we feel sick or not. We shelter in place or hunker down. The Presbytery, like many organizations, has begun operating remotely, with staff relying on

COVID-19/CORONAVIRUS PRESBYTERY RESOURCE PAGE
Tuesday, March 17th, the Presbytery launched a COVID-19 resource page with tips for online worship, financial matters, online meetings, and more.  This will be our central location for all updates and resources, although we'll also have conversations on Facebook.  We want to hear how you are showing care for your leaders, your church, and your community, and even where you are finding hope and possibility.  So, please stay connected with us!
WORSHIP RESOURCES AND OPPORTUNITIES
Given the current climate and conditions, the Presbytery Office is trying to provide as many resources and opportunities for worship as possible.  To do this, we would like to compile a list with active web links to worship services -- text or visual -- that can then be shared via email, social media, and our website resource page.  If you are providing a weekly worship resource for your congregation, please consider sending it to Kate Hopta to include in our Presbytery information.  If possible, please send information by 3:00 p.m. on Fridays.  If you will be streaming a service, let us know and we will try to also link it to the Presbytery facebook page.
SHARE YOUR DAILY PRAYER
If you've visited the Presbytery COVID-19/Coronavirus Resource Page hopefully you've noticed the daily prayer being offered.  If you would like to submit a prayer to be published, please send your prayer with name and church or location to Kate Hopta.
PRESBYTERY STAFF WORKING REMOTELY
Due to the current climate and conditions we find ourselves in, your Presbytery staff is heeding guidance during the pandemic to work remotely and practice social distancing.  Phone calls to the Presbytery Office will be forwarded to the appropriate staff member and email will be checked daily.
CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR TWO CERTIFIED ECC CHURCHES
Faith Springs Presbyterian Church and Wauwatosa Presbyterian Church have both been recertified as Earth Care Congregations by the Presbyterian Hunger Program through February 2021.  This honor speaks to the great commitment that these congregations have made to care for God's earth.

Started in 2010 by the PC(USA), the goal of this program is to inspire churches to care for God's earth in a holistic way, through integrating earth care into all aspects of their church life.  To become an Earth Care Congregation, both congregations affirmed an Earth Care Pledge to integrate environmental practices and thinking into their worship, education, facilities, and outreach.  The Earth Care Congregation certification is designed to recognize churches that make the commitment to take seriously God's charge to "till and keep" the garden.
PRESBYTERY DIRECTORY PHONE APP
If any minister member or church member from our presbytery would like to have the presbytery directory accessible on their phone or tablet, please email Chris Halverson for login and password. If you've previously gotten access, but forgot  your login and/or password, Chris can help with that, too.
