FROM RACHEL YATES, PRESBYTERY EXECUTIVE
READING THE SIGNS
By way of true confession, I eat at McDonald's...a lot.  This past weekend, my husband and I visited our neighborhood McDonald's for breakfast.  For the last few weeks, the electronic menu board in the drive-thru has been on the fritz.  On Saturday, other than some gobbledy-gook symbols, only two breakfast items appeared:  donut sticks and breakfast burritos.  No matter.  We knew the menu well enough to order what we wanted [except what I really wanted was an Egg White Delight, but apparently they've discontinued that nationally.  Don't even get me started...!]

EFFECTIVE SHORT TERM MISSION PLANNING WORKSHOP
Done well, short-term mission trips build community and reinforce our connections with God's mission in the world.  Without good planning and execution, however, we can do more harm than good.  In this workshop, Ellen Sherby, Coordinator and Equipping for Mission Involvement at the Presbyterian Mission Agency, will offer practical tools and written resources for your mission trip leaders to focus and pace to learn best practices from one another:
        • Going deeper in an understanding of mission
        • Discerning whether and where to go
        • Elements of a good mission trip experience
Register here and join us on June 15th at Wauwatosa Presbyterian Church for this excellent mission workshop!  This event will take place from 12:00-4:00 p.m. and will include lunch.

Share this information with your congregation and staff!  This workshop is open to all mission leaders and those interested in mission planning.
GET A JUMP ON STEWARDSHIP SEASON
