Fresh Picks Café would like to offer a sincere apology to the members of the Crossroads Academy community and thank you for your patience. With the supply chain issues and staffing shortages that all businesses are facing, this school year’s opening has been the most challenging in our company’s 28-year history. We are pleased to announce that we are ready to launch the Crossroads Academy meals program on Monday, October 4!
Nutritious and Fresh Meals Delivered Daily
Your students will be provided meals made fresh each morning at the Hanover High School cafeteria. Meals will be transported to Crossroads at the correct temperature and loaded into a food service kiosk (coming soon) for service. We use a specialized heat seal packaging system to keep hot foods fresh, and a combination of heat seal and traditional packaging for cold foods. All containers are BPA free, recyclable and/or compostable.
Meals include an entrée along with fruit and vegetable side dishes (as well as the occasional treat). Meals will be offered in two sizes (standard and large). Meals do not include a beverage.
Convenient Online System
You’ll enjoy the convenience of a completely online ordering & payment system. Through the EZSchoolLunch online portal you’ll be able to select your student’s meals by day, for the week, or even the full month. Payment is made through the same online system, providing you with one stop shopping for all your school lunch needs! We’ve provided a separate document with instructions on how to enroll in and use the online payment and ordering system. Ordering through the online system is free, but the EZ School Apps online portal charges a $2.25 convenience fee when money is deposited to a student’s account. This convenience fee is the same no matter what amount you deposit. To minimize the number of convenience fees you have to pay, we recommend depositing money to your student’s account (and prepaying for several days) rather than paying each time you order. To add money to your student’s account, click on the “Meal Payment” tab then click the “Add Money” hyperlink on the line with your student’s name and follow the prompts.
Two Weeks of Menus Available for Ordering Now!
Once you’re logged into the system, you’ll find menus for the first two weeks of October available for pre-order. Meals must be prepaid and may be ordered up until 10:00 p.m. the day before service. Meal orders may be cancelled online up until 6:00 a.m. the day of service. We plan to have the menu for the last two weeks of October available for pre-ordering no later than October 8.
