Grey Bruce Youth Film Festival

Call for Submissions!

Students in grades 7 through 12 are invited to submit short animated or live action films of a maximum of 10 minutes in length.

Cash prizes to be won!

Application forms are online or at the library, starting in January.

A partnership with the Owen Sound and North Grey Union Public Library.

The deadline for submissions is May 8.

For those who ever wanted to build a new garden, a border, or make significant changes to your gardening space but haven’t worked out where to start. The A-Z

of Gardening takes you from dreaming and visioning

to getting the most from your garden. This program

incorporates landscape design practices, budgeting

for materials, plant choice and placement. Perfect for those new to garden design and returning students looking to deepen their knowledge from last time.

This is a practical three-part series with some

homework elements.

Volunteers can help you prepare your income tax and benefit return if you have modest income and a simple tax situation. Volunteers are not employees or volunteers of the Canada Revenue Agency.

Forest of Reading 2026

The Forest of Reading is Canada's largest recreational reading program and an initiative of the Ontario Library Association. The goal is to encourage a love of reading.

The Forest of Reading celebrates Canadian books, authors, publishers, and illustrators. The program is for children and youth from Kindergarten to Grade 12.

Participants are encouraged to read the nominated titles and vote for their favourite books. Voting takes place in April 2026.

To participate visit the library to register and track your reading! Participants that cast their vote can enter for a chance to win 1 of 2 prize packs!
