Willie Mann can tell you exactly how long he’s been visiting Hartford Public Library.
He got his first library card in 1963 as a second-grader at the Mary M. Hooker School when his class walked to the nearby Goodwin Library. And he still has his original card to this day.
Willie still goes practically every day to use the services at Hartford Public Library, whether it be the computers, technology, workshops, concerts or Sunday Jazz.
He's shared his love of the Library with his two daughters and now he brings his grandson to check out books.

Willie has served as the Camp Field Library's Hartford Stage Neighborhood Ambassador. He also participated in our strategic planning process. When not at HPL, Willie can be seen singing the national anthem at Hartford Wolfpack games.
