Dear LTHS Class of 2030 Parents/Guardians and Families,
The Class of 2030 Freshman Experience Day (FED) is just a week away, and we are excited to officially welcome our newest class of students to their LT Experience! I wanted to share some important reminders/information with you in preparation for Friday, August 14.
Bus Information
- Buses will be running on Freshman Experience Day.
- Bus information was sent to families by Greg Gardner, South Campus Associate Principal. The email included student name/ID, if transportation will be provided, bus route number, and links to the stop sheets (stop sheets are also included below within this email).
- Below are links to the morning/afternoon routes and stop information. Morning routes/stops/pick-up times are the same on FED as on regular school days. Please note that afternoon routes/stop information is accurate, but times will be much earlier since we have a 1:05 dismissal on Freshman Experience Day. The times listed are for a regular school day.

FED Schedule
Upon arrival, all students will proceed to the Fieldhouse where they will receive their schedule for the day and attend an introductory welcome session. The opening session will begin promptly at 7:45am. We will review the schedule for the day with all students at the welcome session and staff & student leaders will be on hand throughout FED to assist students with the schedule and to help direct them through the building. During the course of the day, students will participate in small group icebreakers/circles led by LT student leaders, attend a student services presentation with their counselor & social worker, attend an Assistant Principal presentation & meet all Student Assistants, participate in spirit training/learn about the importance of connectedness at LT, and meet all their teachers as they walk their schedule and attend all classes for a short period of time. The day will end at 1:05 when students are dismissed to the buses/pick up.
Additional Information for FED
- Students should wear their FED t-shirt that they received at Book Pick-Up. We will have extra shirts on hand for those students who were unable to attend Book Pick-Up.
- Students should not bring their Chromebooks. Students do not need to bring any learning materials, as they will not access their lockers upon arrival. They will be given a folder with all the materials that will be needed for the day.
Important Lunch Information
-
Cheese Pizza will be served for lunch. In the event of dietary restrictions, please email Amanda Luicio at alucio@d204.lths.net by Wednesday, August 12 at 3:00pm.
- Students can bring their lunch if they choose, but they will end up carrying it throughout the course of the morning.
Language Connections
Please see the following note from our Bilingual Coordinator Julie Jacobo:
As a family of an incoming freshman, we understand how new and overwhelming the high school journey may be. Please never hesitate to reach out to the school for any and all questions or concerns. It is with excitement that we are committed to working together to ensure that all multilingual families have access to the resources and information needed to support your child's educational success here at LT.
