Family Weekend is finally here! We are excited to welcome your family back to campus this weekend. To aid your family in your planning we've included some details below.

Check In

During Family Weekend there will be multiple opportunities for your family to check in and receive your materials. Your family only needs to check-in once.

The packet will include a schedule, your t-shirts, and a some goodies

Football Tickets

Family Weekend packages do not include football tickets this year.

Make sure you purchased your football tickets through athletics if you plan to attend the football game on Saturday night. You can do so through their website below.

Parking

Parking on campus is relaxed after 6:30pm Monday - Friday. If you will be arriving to campus during the day on Friday, you can print a parking permit at any of the machines in the green parking lots using code 602623.

Parking at Fresno State on the weekends is relaxed except during football games. If you park on campus prior to 3:00pm on Saturday you will not have to pay for parking. If you are attending the Mosaic Class, the Planetarium show, or any of the Saturday activities you can park for free.

If you will be arriving on campus after 3:00pm be prepared to pay for parking.

Parking on Sunday for the brunch will be relaxed. No permit necessary.

Activities

During Family Weekend there are a few activities with limited space. If you are planning to attend any of the activities below please fill out the survey if you have not already. This will allow us to try and accommodate everyone who is interested.

Wine Tasting

The Friday evening wine tasting will take place on campus at the Fresno State Winery in the cellar.

It is recommended to park in lot P10 or P20 for the event.

All attendees must be over the age of 21. No minors will be allowed into the event.

Mosaic Art Class

The mosaic workshop will take place in the Speech Arts Building, room 153 starting at 8:30am. It's early but it takes quite a bit of time to create the mosaic art. The Speech Arts Building is located next to the new Resnick Student Union.

A local Central Valley artist will be leading the workshop and all materials will be provided.

After the class the artisan will grout and finish all art pieces. The completed pieces will be available for pick up the following day at the Sunday Brunch.

Downing Planetarium

On Saturday we will have a show at the planetarium on campus. We will be watching The Edge: Pluto and Beyond.

The planetarium is an amazing attraction on campus and a child friendly experience. In addition to the show, our outstanding faculty will conduct some trivia as well.

Service Project

As a part of Family Weekend we will be collecting hygiene items to donate to the Fresno State Amendola Family Student Cupboard. These items will be donated so that students needing hygiene items can pick them up from the cupboard. Items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, etc.

Families who donate will get one extra raffle ticket for prize drawings that take place at the tailgate and brunch. Donations can be dropped of at check in.

The Family Weekend tailgate will take place in the Margie Wright Softball stadium on the concourse.

With all the tailgates that will be happening it can be hard to find the location. The Softball Stadium is located at the intersection of Cedar and Barstow on the southeast corner. The entrance to the stadium is off of Barstow avenue. You will literally walk into the softball stadium for the tailgate.
