The Frick Collection
--arranged and led by Bob Mitchell--
Wednesday, March 18, 2026
Join us for a visit to The Frick Collection.
A self-guided tour of the museum, followed by lunch.
About the Tour
The Frick Collection on Fifth Avenue houses one of the world’s foremost collections of European fine and decorative arts, with masterworks ranging from the Renaissance to the early twentieth century. The collection originated with Henry Clay Frick (1849–1919), who bequeathed his home, paintings, sculptures, and decorative arts to the public for their enjoyment. Since Frick’s time, the museum collection has doubled in size with subsequent acquisitions.
It was closed for five years for renovation and just reopened a year ago.
The Y’s Men will visit The Collection for a self-guided tour. Subsequent to the tour, there are various alternatives available for lunch in the area or elsewhere in Manhattan, including a museum café on site. And, The Frick is on Museum Mile, so private visits to other museums are a possibility.
Entry to the museum is strictly timed, so our booked group visit could save us hours waiting on the sidewalk for entry.
Spouses and significant others are most welcome.
