BE KIND
___________________
Every one of us is created in the image of God, but even with that, we are all different. Some are excellent singers. God gave them voices to bring forth his praise. While others cannot carry a tune in the natural world; but when they sing unto the Lord, He sees it as beautiful.
There are doctors that are so efficient while there are those that struggle even in opening a bandage.
There are those that can teach a subject, making it a reality to those they teach, while there are others that struggle with the very basics. Some cannot read, while others are proficient in reading.
You see, just because you are gifted in an area and someone else isn’t does not make you any better than them.
While there are rocket scientists that know the ways of aircraft that others don’t, it takes the common laborer to fill the fuel tanks, and the pilot to man the aircraft.
The point I am making is no matter who we are, to God we, as Christians, are all part of his body. We must never think more highly of ourselves than others. We must be kind to those that don’t have the ability to do what others do.
The world puts people on different levels, looking down on the homeless, poor, needy, broken, and dirty, and revering those successful based on the world’s standards. God does not look at it that way. He looks at the heart. He looks to see if there is faith, but most of all love.
1 John 4:7-8 tells us, “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.” When we treat others with the same respect and kindness that we would give to the Lord, then we truly are the children of God. Being kind does not take a lot of knowledge. It takes love, love for others.
Be kind. It is a fruit of the Spirit.
