New Delaware Law Strengthens Protections

for Roadside Workers

Delaware's updated "Move Over" law increases fines and introduces stricter speed reduction rules to protect roadside workers. Drivers now face fines up to $1,000 for repeated violations and must slow down by 20 mph below the limit on high-speed roads if they cannot safely change lanes. The law aims to reduce accidents and fatalities among emergency responders and utility crews, reinforcing safety for those working along roadways.
