Greetings,

Hopefully, 2024’s first five days have gone well. It may help other days go well to remember and to take some precautions that COVID is still around and, as The Times noted, killing 1500 people a week. It would probably be helpful if non-advisory bodies, like the federal government, had policies acknowledging that reality, but I digress.

The Office of Emergency Management has issued a weather alert for this weekend. Basically, we may see some snow for the first time in years, and as such, sanitation salt trucks are prepared. The highest range of predictions is at 3 inches of snow, while others are betting on rain.

While snow is possible, Mulchfest definitively ends this weekend, so if you want some mulch, you’ll have to take action by Sunday. Following the weekend, we’ve got two CB6 meetings. We’ll review liquor licenses on Monday, and on Wednesday, our Full Board will meet for the first time this year. If you read the rest of this email, you’ll find more about the ever-active community.

If your resolution is to stop reading now, I still hope you stay safe and have a good weekend.
