Throughout the 153rd General Assembly, Senate and House Republicans remained focused on advancing practical legislation that supports Delaware families, strengthens our workforce, improves public safety, expands access to healthcare, and protects our agricultural community. Independence Day

On Saturday, we celebrate 250 years since America declared that all people are created equal and endowed with the unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

As we gather with family and friends to celebrate Independence Day, we also honor the generations of Americans who have defended our freedoms and worked to build a stronger nation.

The NWS Issues Extreme Heat Warning Advisory for All of Delaware

With an Extreme Heat Warning in effect through July 4, state officials are urging Delawareans to take precautions as dangerously high temperatures continue across the state. The Delaware Department of Health and Social Services has opened cooling centers across the state to provide residents with a safe, air-conditioned place to escape the heat. Officials encourage anyone without reliable air conditioning, especially older adults and other vulnerable individuals, to take advantage of these locations and to check on neighbors, family members, and friends who may be at risk.
