Senate Bill 120

Wednesday afternoon, Governor Carney signed my first piece of legislation, Senate Bill 120, into law.

This law is quite simple, but impactful. It adds workforce and affordable housing programs to the current list of realty transfer tax eligible expenditures for our three counties.

I thank the legislators and stakeholders for their support, and Governor Carney for signing it into law!

Micaih Lloyd

Earlier this week, I was shadowed by Micaih Lloyd, whose inspiring story was shared in the Senate. He’s currently a freshman at Del Tech and has a passion for child welfare and juvenile justice. He plans to attend law school and inspires to be a criminal defense and civil rights attorney.

Thank you for the visit my friend and I can’t wait to see what your bright future holds!

The Second Floor Podcast

I joined The Second Floor podcast to discuss legislation that will improve discipline in our schools and also about the Fairness in Girls' Sports Act. I also weighed in on SCOTUS's decision regarding Affirmative Action, news of which broke just prior to recording.
