The Delaware Electric Car Mandate Upcoming Town Hall Meetings
There will be a statewide series of town hall events regarding the proposed electric vehicle mandate beginning this coming Tuesday, March 21st, at the Indian River Senior Center in Millsboro. Each of the five begin at 6:30 p.m. and will last approximately two hours.

Organizers encourage those who wish to attend to RSVP at www.noevmandate.com. Please note the system will not send a confirmation upon RSVPing.

Drive-Thru Mobile Pantry
The Food Bank of Delaware will be hosting a drive-thru mobile food pantry on Monday, March 27, 2023 at Crossroad Community Church beginning at 10:00 a.m. Registration is recommended. https://Mar27Sussex.eventbrite.com
Closure of Eastbound Jefferson Bridge Road between SR 1 and Pennsylvania Avenue
South Bethany - The Delaware Department of Transpiration announces the closure of eastbound Jefferson Bridge Road between SR 1 and Pennsylvania Avenue from March 13th to April 7th (weather permitting) for installation of sidewalks, crosswalks, and curb ramps.

Detour: Motorists are advised to take SR 1 to Garfield Parkway, take Garfield Parkway towards the beach, and then turn right back to Pennsylvania Avenue.

After the detour is removed, lane closures with flaggers can also be expected on SR 1, Jefferson Bridge Road, and Pennsylvania Avenue in this area, between the hours of 8 AM and 4 PM, Monday through Friday.

Young Delaware companies in need of funding to help expand their business can apply through March 31 to compete for an Encouraging Development, Growth and Expansion (EDGE) grant from the Delaware Division of Small Business (DSB).

Award Categories:

  • Entrepreneur Class (non-STEM) - Up to $50,000
  • STEM Class - Up to $100,000 

Eligible Businesses:

  • Less than 7 years old 
  • Employ no more than 10 employees
  • Have net assets of less than $500,000
