Turn Delaware Purple

Senator Eric Buckson sponsored a resolution alongside Representative Kerri Evelyn Harris encouraging Governor Matt Meyer to turn Delaware purple in April to support our 7,000+ military-connected students. Many of these children spend birthdays, holidays, and major milestones apart from their parents who are serving our nation. Lighting Legislative Hall, bridges, and toll plazas in purple would show our appreciation for their resilience and sacrifices.

DEHA Press Event

Delaware’s healthcare system is at a crossroads, and as Sussex County continues to grow and age, we must ensure that our healthcare workforce and infrastructure keep pace. Senator Brian Pettyjohn joined healthcare leaders from across the state as they announced the First State Health Leaders Alliance and unveiled a joint advocacy agenda to tackle critical issues in our healthcare system. This eight-point plan focuses on workforce development, easing patient access to care, improving public health, and ensuring our healthcare providers have the support they need to serve our communities.

EMS Stations Groundbreaking Ceremonies

Senator Eric Buckson and Senator Dave Wilson attended the groundbreaking ceremonies for two new EMS stations in Harrington and Frederica. Investing in emergency services is critical for public safety and these new stations mark a significant step forward in providing efficient care for Kent County residents.

Indian River High School

Championship Football Teams

It was an exciting day at Legislative Hall on Thursday as we welcomed two state championship teams from Indian River High School, as well as retired Senator George Howard Bunting! Congratulations to the football and unified flag football teams on your well-earned success!
