Yesterday, Governor Carney visited multiple women-owned businesses throughout Delaware in recognition of Women’s History Month. 

It was a pleasure to meet Jenny McMillan who is the owner of JennyGems, which is a small business that designs and manufactures rustic decor.

First EV MandateTown Hall Meeting

I joined legislative colleagues and over 300 concerned Delawareans at last night's electric vehicle mandate town hall event in Millsboro. We heard from farmers, firefighters, business owners, retirees, Democrats, Republicans, and more who vehemently oppose DNREC's proposed regulation to ban the sale of new gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles.

There are three additional scheduled events you can attend to have your questions answered and make your voices heard. Each town hall begins at 6:30 p.m. An additional meeting in Sussex at a larger venue may be planned. RSVPs are encouraged and can be done so at noevmandate.com.

Closure of Rementer Road between Old Furnace Road and Rum Ridge Road

The Delaware Department of Transportation announces the closure of Rementer Road between Old Furnace Road and Rum Ridge Road for the installation of cross road pipes.

WHEN: Monday, March 27th through Friday, April 7th (weather permitting)

WHERE: Rementer Road between Old Furnace Road and Rum Ridge Road, Georgetown

Detour: Northbound motorists will continue on Old Furnace Road and turn left onto Rum Bridge Road, to return to Rementer Road.



Southbound motorists will continue on Rum Bridge Road, turn right onto Old Furnace Road, to return to Rementer Road.

Road Closure of West Robbins between Redden Road and Maple Branch Road

Georgetown -- Road Closure of West Robbins Road between Redden Road and Maple Branch Road.

The Delaware Department of Transportation announces the closure of West Robbins Road between Redden Road and Maple Branch Road through late May (weather permitting) for bridge improvements.

Detour: Motorists traveling southbound on West Robbins Road: Turn right onto Maple Branch Road, and then left onto Redden Road, back to West Robbins Road.

Motorists traveling northbound on West Robbins Road: Use Redden Road to Maple Branch Road, then use Maple Branch Road back to West Robbins Road.
