Dear Lakeside Community,
A quick recap on the Hollywood Stars Auction. It was SUPERB! Fun was had by all. A big "Thank You" to Whitney Barnes and the Foundation Team for an incredible evening supporting Lakeside. Here is a message from President Whitney Barnes on the auction:
Lakeside School Community Foundation wants to thank the Parents and Community Members who came out to show their support for Lakeside Students at our Annual Auction last weekend! We had a fantastic time and made some unforgettable memories. I am honored to have served as the Foundation's President for the past two years, and deeply grateful to the Lakeside Community for the warm embrace it has shown to my family, and continues to show to all of the children at Lakeside.
This past year has been a very challenging one for our school and all of our families. We have all shared in the sheer exhaustion the weather of this winter caused; we rallied strong behind a second parcel tax campaign; and we persevered through changes in administration, staff and classroom makeup. Foundation is proud of the Auction event that was offered to you, as a chance to come together in community, celebration, and investment toward our children's education.
Foundation supports programs that enrich our students' academic, social/emotional, and physical growth. We will continue to back these programs, with the funds that have been made available to us. Many of the programs we support are solely funded by Foundation, and are not possible without the generosity and support of our families and community. In review of our preliminary pledges, our donations this year are less than what we need to continue support of current programs at their existing levels. Your Foundation committee will be working closely with Lakeside Administration to ensure we support priority programs and meet commitments to our children, with respect to our guiding principles and fiscally responsible budgeting.
For anyone who missed their chance to contribute at Auction, feel free to submit your tax-deductible donations at https://www.paypal.me/LSCF
