153rd General Assembly

On Thursday, November 21, 2024, members of the Senate Republican Caucus reaffirmed their leadership team heading into the 153rd General Assembly. Senator Gerald Hocker (R-Ocean View) was re-elected as Republican Leader, while Senator Brian Pettyjohn (R-Georgetown) was re-elected as Republican Whip.

Harrington Senior Center

Last Friday, Senator Lawson and Senator Wilson proudly attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Harrington Senior Center! It was an honor to celebrate the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in bringing this project to life. Thank you to the Harrington community for your vision and commitment to supporting our senior citizens!

House Bill 416

This Act, sponsored by Senator Pettyjohn, raises the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of a low-speed vehicle from less than 2,500 pounds to 3,000 pounds or less.

Toys for Tots

Help make the holidays brighter for kids in need!

Delaware Natural Resources Police are collecting toy donations for the Toys for Tots program now through Dec. 12 (Kent & Sussex) and Dec. 8 (New Castle).

Drop off new, unwrapped toys at locations statewide, including Delaware State Parks offices, the Brandywine Zoo, and more.

John Dickinson Plantation Groundbreaking

This project will help preserve and share the stories of all who lived and labored on this historic land. Selbyville Public Library
