Tina Ross, an emerging New York singer-song- writer, is a fresh, timeless wind blowing from the '60s with an original, contemporary vibe and flow. Her songs are artful and authentic with deep themes and images.
Tina’s songs have been recognized as a Folk/Country Category Finalist: UK Songwriting, Honorable Mention: John Lennon Songwriting and noted as a Top Five Finalist: International Blues & Roots Radio.
Grammy-nominated songwriter Steve Seskin says,“Tina Ross is a singer songwriter who combines evocative, inventive guitar playing with superb poetry that weaves colorful, emotional imagery around her beautifully sung, gorgeous melodies. Listening to her songs is a personal experience that I want to have again and again.”
Ross' music is honest and informed by a life lived: as a mother, wife, recently a grandmother, advocate raising awareness of food insecurity and hunger, public speaker, service to her chiropractic patients, vocalist in a jazz trio, and being a hopeless fan of music. Her desire is to connect deeply with people through music."
In addition to being a wonderful performer and songwriter, Tina is known throughout Folk Project as the producer and host of Inside the Song, a regular and welcoming MC at our Open Stage, and a regular participant in our workshops, sing-alongs, concerts, and board of directors. Let's show up and give her the applause she truly deserves.

The Folk Project
You can't beat our low, low prices
|
Out of Business Sale
Our prices are Insane!
Only $20 for a full dozen lunar months
Remember the electronics store near Times Square
that hung a going-out-of-business sign in the window for three decades? How about the Ripley's Museum in Atlantic City that advertised free admission, but charged $1.00 to exit? We're about to give you an even better deal.
The Folk Project has never been in business, so it absolutely can't "go" out of business. As a not-for-profit, our prices start at zero and go up to rock bottom. It's all thanks to dozens and dozens of volunteers contributing thousands and thousands of hours for decades upon decades.
It costs $20 a year to join and support the music, the artists, the volunteers, and yourself, actually, because we're doing it all for you, too.

The Future is Soon
Like now, actually. And now. And now. Even now.

Hang in
so we can hang out
Safety First, Party Second
The Driveway Theory of Human Behavior has been studied, tested, proven, and taught by learned scholars, and published extensively -- to be specific: taught by Professor Mom and published in this Music Alert. The basic theory is that no matter how long your car ride, ten minutes before the driveway, you gotta pee. In the COVID Era, The Driveway Theory becomes especially problematic because the driveway keeps moving farther away. Damn you, Omicron.
In the meantime camaraderie and live music is just a click away:
- The Folk Project is online every Monday, Tuesday, most Thursdays and every Friday.
- FP TV is always a click away.
- Open Stage will probably be our first in-person event.
- Tom Paxton & The DonJuans are coming April 8th.
- Stay calm, drive safe, and you'll reach the driveway. Just remember that Professor Mom goes first.
Stay patient, stay safe & stay alert,
Mark
