Volume 1 Issue 11
Friday 4-H Nugget
Dear 4-H Community,

What a change of cards that are in our hands over the last couple of weeks! Don't worry, we are taking that basket full of lemons and making some lemonade. We are looking forward to what the future has in store and I can tell you that our Extension Office Staff and Volunteers are planning and making the best better.

We do have another update on COVID-19 below. You will note that there is now a change in the timeline that was given to us previously on face to face meetings. All Extension and 4-H events that are slated to be held face to face will now be postponed, moved virtually or canceled. *We don't have answers for several items yet, please know we will be sure to provide information as it comes in.* Please refer to our article below.

Thank you for your resilience and understanding as we charter this new path!

Regards,

Robert Kelly & Sthele Greybar

COVID-19 Update Effective March 19, 2020
We have updated information that needs to be shared on the COVID-19 situation. Please disregard any previous information that has been shared as this is a fluid and ever changing situation. Please see the letter and video from Robert Kelly, Extension Educator and County Extension Director. Know that we will be working to update you with new meeting dates and events that will be county wide. Please plan as everything will be back to as normal as possible after May 18th, as that is the guidance we have been given.

4-H Camp Information
Ready to spend a fun-filled summer in the woodlands at Camp Amigo? WE ARE! Spend a week with us learning about nature, meeting new people and having fun! Michiana 4-H Camp will be offered June 9th to the 11th for Elkhart County 4-H members in grades 3-6.

Geranium and Flower Sales
* We are planning as normal! Keep selling the flowers.* The annual 4-H Club Corporation Fundraiser is officially underway and we need your help. Did you know that for every flower sold your club gets $0.25 back? The funds also help cover expenses such as club manuals, trips and many other items. Below you will find forms that will be helpful for 4-H members and club leaders.

4-H Learning Video Series
4-H Members, Parents and Volunteers: Be sure to follow our Facebook Page and see our latest videos! Sthele and Robert have created some fun videos that you can participate with. You can also check them out on our Youtube Channel.

Performing Arts Contest
We will no longer have an in-person Performing Arts contest. However, we will have our contest digitally this year.

This year, I will be asking folks in each of the contest to submit videos of their performance to be judged. This includes all performances, public speaking and demonstrations. This video must be made specifically for this contest and cannot be a video of you performing at some other event or venue for school/church/etc. Please do the videos on your own and submit them electronically using the link below.
