Middle Schoolers Explore Phase Changes in Ice Cream Lab
Winston 8th graders had a deliciously fun time learning about phase changes through an engaging ice cream lab with Ms. Shelly's Science class! As part of their science curriculum, students investigated the transformation of liquid to solid while making their own ice cream. By mixing simple ingredients and using salt to lower the freezing point of ice, they observed firsthand how energy transfer causes physical changes in matter.
This hands-on experiment not only demonstrated key scientific principles but also gave students the opportunity to enjoy the fruits of their labor—a sweet reward for their curiosity and hard work!
