Winston School Students Experience Virtual Reality for Spelling!

We are excited to share our participation in an innovative pilot project with IVRSTAR, a local company that develops immersive virtual reality learning products. Winston has shared time and talent to collaborate in the design of a virtual reality spelling game to support students with reading and spelling challenges, particularly those with dyslexia. Over the past few months, Winston students have had fun exploring the initial levels of the spelling game as they build their knowledge of spelling patterns. We look forward to exploring more innovative collaborations that enhance our student's learning experience.

Popping with Potential! 🍿 

This week students celebrated their STAR Winter 2024/25 achievements, recognizing improvements in math and reading scores.  Students enjoyed popcorn and Amazon gift cards were raffled off.

These benchmark assessments occur three times a year to measure students' performance in the Common Core standards and set learning goals. We are excited to see continued growth during our Spring testing.

Dear Winston Students, Families, and Staff,

We are now a month into our spring semester, and I'm pleased to report that our students have settled into their academic routines with enthusiasm and focus. The energy and commitment our students are demonstrating in their classrooms is truly inspiring.

In the coming weeks, our school will undergo a comprehensive accreditation review from WASC. This process demonstrates our commitment to maintaining the highest educational standards. We appreciate your continued support as we showcase our school's academic programs and student achievements.

There are various events coming up where we would love parents to participate, attend, or get involved.
