Dear Winston Students and Families,

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for the incredible support and kindness you’ve shown since my return from maternity leave. I am truly grateful for our Leadership Team and staff here at Winston who have done an amazing job the past few months. 

It has been such a joy reconnecting with our students, staff, and families over the past 2 weeks. Your warm words, smiles, and encouragement have meant so much.

It has been wonderful to hear and see how much everyone has enjoyed meeting baby Benjamin — your excitement and care truly reflect the sense of community that makes our school so special.

As we look ahead to the end of fall and start of the winter months, I’m filled with excitement for all the upcoming events and celebrations that bring us together. Spirit Month is wrapping up with Halloween celebrations and Dia de los Muertos and Coffee House is only a month away. I hope to see many families and students celebrating these moments as a community.

I am glad to be back on campus and I look forward to reconnecting and continuing the great work we do to support our students every day.

11th & 12th Grade Miramar College Field Trip

On Thursday, our juniors and seniors took a field trip to San Diego Miramar College, where they got an inside look at college life and career pathways! Students enjoyed a full campus tour, met current Miramar students, and learned about the many academic programs the college offers — including automotive technology, business, public safety, biotech, and transfer opportunities to four-year universities.

A highlight of the visit was the Automotive Technology program, where students can train hands-on to become certified car technicians. Miramar partners directly with Toyota/Lexus and Honda/Acura, giving students real-world experience working on vehicles from those brands. There were even some fun giveaways during the presentation!



Overall, it was an awesome experience and Winston students got a helpful glimpse of college life.

 Teacher & Student Swap Dress-Up Day Recap

Our Teacher and Student Swap Dress-Up Day was a blast! Students showed off their creativity by dressing like their favorite teachers, while teachers embraced the spirit of the day by channeling student styles. It was a wonderful way to celebrate the school community and spread smiles across campus!

☕️ Save the Date: The Winston Coffee House

The Winston Coffee House is our annual fall event celebrating student creativity through music, visual art, and performance. Hosted after school so families can attend, it’s a warm and welcoming evening filled with expression, connection, and community. Please save the date to join us!
