Prom Was Out of This World! 🚀🌌

Last week’s prom truly launched us into another galaxy! With the theme “Out of This World,” students arrived ready to shine brighter than the stars. From a delicious dinner to a DJ spinning the hottest tracks, the night was packed with cosmic vibes and amazing memories.

The game truck and photo booth were major hits—and let’s not forget the stellar style everyone brought to the dance floor. A huge THANK YOU to the parents who helped with set up, student council for planning am amazing event, and the students and chaperones who attended. 🌠🪩✨

In this week’s newsletter, we are focusing on our final category of the WASC feedback from Section E. Please feel free to share any feedback or questions you have here.

Here’s an excerpt from their report:

The Winston School (TWS) school leadership employs a wide range of culturally 24 ACS WASC FOL Visiting Committee Report sensitive and inclusive strategies to encourage family and community involvement, especially with the learning/teaching process. Parents are actively involved in their student’s learning and have transparency from the faculty about their student’s progress. Everyone reported feeling valued at Winston.

The Winston School (TWS) leadership focuses on continuous school improvement by providing a safe, clean, and orderly place that nurtures learning. The TWS school culture and environment are attuned to the development of a student’s access to their individualized education and growth.

Dear Winston Students, Families, and Staff,

Next week is our final week of school, and I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you.

This year has been filled with growth, learning, and memorable moments. Our students have demonstrated resilience, curiosity, and kindness, making us all proud. Our dedicated teachers and staff have gone above and beyond to create a nurturing and inspiring environment, and our families have been steadfast partners in supporting student success.

Thank you for your unwavering commitment to our school. Together, we have built a strong, caring community where every child can thrive.

As we look forward to a well-deserved summer break, I encourage everyone to rest, recharge, and enjoy time with loved ones. We are thrilled to have many students joining us for summer school to continue building upon their foundational skills and stay connected with students and staff. We are also excited for the opportunities and adventures that the new school year will bring.

Wishing you all a safe, joyful, and restful summer!

With gratitude,

Kelsey Garrison

Principal

As we are finishing the school year, we are asking families to thoughtfully participate in a climate and culture school survey. This will allow us to use the responses to address needs for the 2025-2026 school year.

Responses are anonymous. We appreciate your feedback. Please complete the survey by May 23, 2025.

If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Weeden or Mrs. Garrison.

It’s been a delicious week! Students and staff enjoyed the mouthwatering creations in the culinary arts Master Chef classes this week! Some of the highlights include: Hot Pockets, Pan-Fried Salmon, BLT Muffins, Shawarma, Margarita Pizza, Hawaiian Sliders, Takoyaki, Pastel Azteca, Penne alla Vodka, and Flatbread Pizza.
