Looking Ahead
Sunday, October 3
-Blessing of the Animals
BPC will sponsor “A Blessing of the Animals” event on Sunday, Oct. 3, the day before St. Francis of Assisi Day, which honors the 13th century priest known for his love of nature and animals.
The casual neighborhood event will take place from 4-6 pm Under the Oaks. It offers a time for members of the congregation and Broadmoor residents – and their pets -- to visit and enjoy time together. Rev. Jim Freeman will offer individual blessings as he walks around to greet people and their leashed or carrier-housed pets.
There will be hot dogs and all the trimmings for the two-legged participants, as well as treats and water for the four-legged ones. Games will be available for the children and the young at heart. Bring your sweet pets and your lawn chairs! The “Blessing of the Animals” event is hosted by BPC’s Love in Christ and GROW ministries.
