Members of the Dunwoody City Council listened to feedback and ideas during town hall meetings on the millage rate and bond options. Three town halls were held during the last two weeks.

E.T. on the big screen
Mark your calendars for Dunwoody's first Pics in the Park of 2022 on Friday, June 3 at Pernoshal Park, located at 4575 N. Shallowford Rd. The movie (rated PG) begins at 9:15 p.m.
Pics in the Park will continue on July 1 with Black Panther. The final movie in the series is Lilo & Stitch on August 5. All three events will feature free popcorn and giveaways. The popcorn cart will open at 8:30 p.m. and will be available until halfway through the movie.
Pics in the Park is sponsored by Top Job Beverages, which will be on-site with concessions for purchase.

Groovin' on the Green is back and bigger than ever! Join Dunwoody Parks & Rec for the series opener, featuring '80s tribute band, The 80ators, on June 11 from 6 - 9 p.m. Bring your own picnic, or pick up dinner from a featured food truck. Leashed four-legged friends are also welcome.
Groovin' on the Green is a free series held at the Brook Run Park amphitheater. All concerts begin at 6pm and are family friendly.

Dunwoody unveils Storefront Art Exhibit
The City of Dunwoody is unveiling a new temporary public art program called the Storefront Art Exhibit, which features pieces by Dunwoody High School students and the DHS National Art Honor Society. Their work will be on display in the windows of businesses in the Dunwoody Village for up to three months.

Paving 2022 begins next week
The City of Dunwoody is kicking off its 2022 paving program next week, beginning on Manning Farm Court and Dunbrooke Lane.
Visit website to find a map and list of streets in this year’s work plan. Dunwoody Public Works will use an electronic message board and yard signs to notify residents of upcoming work.

Teen Police Academy
returns for Summer '22

The Dunwoody Police Department is proud to announce its Annual Teen Police Academy.
The Teen Police Academy is a FREE, 5-day summer program that will take place July 11 - 15 from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. The program is available for teenagers ages 14-18. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. The class is limited to 15 participants, and Dunwoody residents will have first priority in the acceptance process.

Register now for free summer tutoring camp
The City of Dunwoody awarded a grant of up to $200,000 in American Rescue Plan (ARP) funding to support a free summer tutoring camp run by Corners Academy. Camp starts on May 31 and will include daily tutoring in math and reading, social and emotional learning, outdoor activities, and breakfast and lunch.

Yard trimming collections delayed
DeKalb Sanitation's North Collection Lot is running behind on yard trimmings routes. The goal is to service all affected households from last week and this week by this coming weekend. Please leave bags at the street to ensure you do not miss the collection trucks that are working to service remaining streets.

Soil and Water Conservation Merit Badge
Saturday, May 28 | 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Investigate the importance of soil and water for plants, animals and humans alike. Participate in a conservation project, perform an experiment on how water flows through soil types, observe soil and water conservation practices at DNC, and more. Some prerequisites are required to complete the Merit Badge in one day.
