October 31, 2025

This Sunday, we begin the final installment of our fall discipleship initiative and Following Jesus message series with a series called “Multiply.” As we’ve studied authentic discipleship—being with Jesus, becoming like Jesus, and doing as Jesus did—we now shift our focus to making disciples of others. This is not only an authentic response to being with Jesus and becoming like Him, but it is also direct obedience to what Jesus commissioned His followers to do: make disciples of all people. This is the gospel mandate for every follower of Jesus.

Over the last year, some of our staff and I participated in a Multiplication Cohort through a discipleship organization called Exponential, where we learned a sobering truth: 70% of churches in America are either declining or plateauing.Of the 30% that are growing, using standard metrics like attendance and giving, less than 1% are growing through multiplication.

A multiplying church is one that is individually and organizationally focused and intentional about making disciples of our neighbors, the next generation, and the nations. This is the church God designed and desires.

I’m excited to share that over the next year, we’re launching a new initiative called “Mission Multiplication.” During this season, we’ll evaluate what barriers exist and how we can more effectively invite people to authentically follow Jesus Christ so they, in turn, will invite others to follow Him in the places where they live, work, and play.

This evaluation will focus on aligning our name, story, space, strategy, and spending to more effectively fulfill the Great Commission. Our mission, vision, polity, and our rich, historic Wesleyan doctrine and theology will not change. What will absolutely remain is the church you know and love!

Operation Christmas Child Boxes Available November 2

Operation Christmas Child is back, and we’re excited to once again partner with Samaritan’s Purse to share the love of Christ with children around the world! Beginning Sunday, November 2, shoeboxes will be available for pickup at the church. Each box you fill brings joy, hope, and the message of Jesus to a child in need - sometimes for the very first time.

Whether you choose to fill your box with school supplies, hygiene items, toys, or a personal note, every gift becomes part of something much bigger. These simple acts of generosity open doors to discipleship, church planting, and transformation across communities.

Make sure to return all boxes to the church by Nov. 16!

Learn About Our 2026 Student Mission Trip Opportunities

Lighthouse Family Ministry Middle School Mission trip - June 14 - 20, 2026. This will be an opportunity for middle school students to travel with a parent to serve at a Lighthouse Family Ministry retreat on St. Simons Island. This will be a week to serve a family with Servant Evangelism, providing tangible needs with no expectation of anything in return. This will be an opportunity for students and their parents to be stretched and challenged to put other's needs before their own. Sign up for the Middle School Mission Trip here.

Milestone Youth trip to The Kingdom of Eswatini - June 24 - July 4, 2026. This will be a unique opportunity for a small group of leaders from our youth ministry to travel to the kingdom of Eswatini (formally Swaziland) to work alongside Challenge Ministries and serve for a week. Youth will travel with a trusted adult, preferably a parent. There will be time set aside for service, as well as meaningful opportunities to reflect and discuss what God may be calling the youth to pursue over the next four years - and how He might be challenging their current plans. Our hope is that this trip will mark a 'moment of challenge or clarity' for the students on the trip. This trip will be by invitation only, and invitations will be extended based on an application process. The end of the trip and the experience will be celebrated with a 2-day African safari.

High School trip to Northern Ireland – July 2 - 11, 2026.

This is an opportunity for High School students to travel to Northern Ireland to work alongside a church and help produce and facilitate a Holiday Bible School, aka. VBS. This is a unique opportunity for youth to be exposed to a cross-cultural experience where leadership skills will be taught and stretched. We will also be partnering with a youth group from southern England making it a cross-cultural experience for 3 cultures. This trip will include planning on the front end via zoom with youth in the UK to develop a plan and then facilitating the plan on the ground in Northern Ireland. This will be a wonderful experience for youth to learn to lead and to be flexible when things are not going as we had planned. This trip will also include teaching from a missionary partner from the UK as he shares with us about how to ministry to Muslims in our community and teaches about unreached people groups. This is sure to be an experience that will change lives and hearts and we are excited to see what God will do.

Baptism Opportunity

If you have recently made a decision to trust Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and desire to make that commitment known publicly through the sacrament of baptism, we invite you to participate in one of our combined worship services at 9:00 or 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 23. Baptism is a meaningful expression of faith and an important step in the life of every believer.

To learn more or to express your interest in being baptized, please contact Sarah Humber.
