Worship This Weekend
FCC Stained Glass

Let's resume our "You Asked for It -- Again!" series this Sunday.  We welcome Rev. Jim Warren back and look forward to his sermon, "Who's Left?"   Jim says, "Paul clearly states that we're not to associate with anyone who is 'immoral,' not in the outside world and certainly not in the church. How does this apply to FCC in this day and time?"  He will reference the Bible passage 1 Corinthians 5:9-13, as well as a couple of others from the Gospel.

Bring your children, and have them bring their school backpacks!  This Sunday we will have our annual  "Blessing of the Backpacks" event in both services.  Children will receive a keepsake as the school year is kicked off with a special blessing.

Music will not disappoint Sunday.  Come hear a couple of very special gifts of music at our 9:00 a.m. traditional service.  The One and All Band is preparing a few of your favorite tunes for the 10:15 progressive service in Fellowship Hall.

Hungry on Sunday mornings?  A simple offering of donut holes and coffee will await you in the centrum; in Fellowship Hall we have a few more items to choose from and you can enjoy them starting a little after 10:00 as you settle in for the One and All service.

A message about Gifts for Another Table:
During the month of August, our gifts will be given to The Boys & Girls Club.  Suggestions of needed items are:  tall white kitchen garbage bags, 55-gallon garbage bags, toilet paper, latex gloves, band aids of all sizes, ziplock bags (sandwich, quart, gallon), and quality ice cube trays.

  Things to Do While
You Are at Church

Bring your Box Tops for Education for Bent School.  Place them in the Disciples Women's Ministries mailbox near the office and they will be taken to the school by May Jackson.  Thank you!

Check In on Facebook while you are at church (top right button on Facebook app news feed).  At the One and All service feel free to use your device for social media, to share photos and thoughts about your worship experience as it happens.

Make a new friend!  Greet a visitor.  Show folks around and help them with questions they might have.  Invite them to worship and/or to share fellowship over a cup of coffee or breakfast treat.  The bulletin is a great source of information for visitors, as is the Information Center.  Let's be a welcoming church!
