Worship This Weekend
This Sunday we have an important congregational meeting at 10:00 a.m. in the sanctuary, and your vote is needed! Stay after the 9:00 a.m. service or come before the 10:15 a.m. service for a brief review of the church budget and a vote.
Rev. Jim Warren will preach at both the 9:00 a.m. traditional service, and at the 10:15 a.m. progressive service. The scripture is
Isaiah 1:16-19 and the sermon title is
20/20 Hindsight. This is the first in a 3-part sermon series called,
20/20 Sight.
The Chancel Choir will provide a gift of music at the 9:00 a.m. service, and our One and All Band will be playing familiar favorites at the later service. After you vote at the congregational meeting we will get started in Fellowship Hall and you can enjoy a light breakfast as we worship.
Can't attend this Sunday? Tune in at 9:00 a.m.on our
Facebook Page, or on our website (
www.blmfcc.com), to see a live stream of the traditional service! You can watch and worship along with folks at FCC. Be sure to tell your friends!
Gifts for Another Table:
We continue in our collection of items for our January recipient, the Regional Alternative School. Thank you for your generous donations! Needed items include shampoo and conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, hand lotion, Chapstick, and diapers.

Reminders
Things to Do While
You Are at Church
Sign up for Third Thursday Food and Fellowship.
The group will gather January 16 at 12:30 p.m. at Famous Dave's. To RSVP, note number attending on Sunday attendance pad far right column or phone the FCC office before 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 14. In case of inclement weather, be sure the office has your current email and/or mobile number for text.
Sign up to help at the January 19 Abundant Life in Christ meal. Help and food items are needed. See the Info Desk and Julie Robinson for information.
Drop off Plastic Caps and Lids. Disciples Women's Ministries is collecting plastic caps and lids of (almost) all types in coordination with St. Luke Union Church. The caps can be donated at the FCC office counter or Info Desk. Please remember lids must be free of any food residue and liners must be removed, as food residue and liners interfere with the recycling process. We cannot use plastic food containers, metal lids, or lids from drive-thru drink containers. Thank you & keep them coming.
Drop Off Sweatpants for Bent School Students, who are in need of gender-neutral colored pants sized 4T-7. A collection bin will be at the Info Desk.
Drop Off School Supplies and other items for school children. Reach Out is collecting supplies for Sheridan School and Bent School. Teachers have requested a number of specific items. Please find a detailed list of needed items at the Info Desk. Some examples: Ziploc gallon bags, paper towels, plastic shoeboxes, glue sticks, tissues, pens, and Playdoh. Also, gently used tennis shoes, coats, clothes for kids to change into in case of accidents, and new boys' and girls' underwear are needed.
Drop off your Box Tops for Education in the Disciples Women's Ministries mailbox outside the church office door.
Make a new friend! Greet a visitor. Greet someone another member has greeted! Several contacts truly make a person feel welcome. A great resource for helping a visitor is the bulletin, and you can also walk them to the Info Desk for another warm greeting, more information, and a welcome gift!
"Check In" on Facebook while you are at church.
