Worship This Weekend
FCC Stained Glass

We continue to pray for Jim and Sharon Warren and family.  Rev. John Libert will preach this Sunday, All Saints Sunday, on which we honor those who have passed away in the past year.  His sermon title is, "Do This, Remembering."   The scripture passages he will reference are Mark 10:35-45 and 1 John 3:16-18.

At the 9:00 service the Chancel Choir will present a wonderful gift of music.   At the 10:15 progressive One and All service, Alex will be with the band again, and this is her last time with us before she moves to the west coast to continue her music career.  Come say, "Goodbye," and worship with breakfast in hand.  The coffee will be hot and fresh!

As Daylight Saving Time is ending, be sure to turn your clocks back before bed Saturday!

A message about Gifts for Another Table:
November is the month we collect items for the Regional Alternative School.   Needs include:  Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, Toothpaste, Lotion, Chapstick,  and Diapers. "Believing that all students are capable of change, the mission of RAS is to provide students with high quality, innovative, and relevant education, in a safe and positive learning environment that allows all students to identify their goals to achieve personal success. This mission is obtained through partnering with parents/guardians and the community to prove academic, vocational, and technical opportunities."

Reminders
Things to Do While
You Are at Church

Sign up at the Information Center for the November 12 Discernment Meeting. The Trustees have been reflecting on our church and the larger church in this day and age, and they shared their findings in the October 29 session.  Plan to come be a part of the November 12 discussion session and share your dreams for our church ( 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. in Major Hall).

Sign up for the Disciples Women's Ministry December meeting at the Information Center.  See The Messenger for details.

Bring a new or gently used donation for the Start Fresh ministry.  Items to bring for this men's prison clothing ministry include coats, scarves, hats, and gloves.

Bring a travel-size item for Operation Santa (a Disciples Women's effort) for military men and women and leave it in the designated area near the Information Center.  See The Messenger for details.

Check In on Facebook while you are at church.  And at the One and All service feel free to use your device for social media, to share photos and thoughts about your worship experience as it happens.

Make a new friend!  Greet a visitor.  Show folks around and help them with questions they might have.  Invite them to worship and/or to share fellowship over a cup of coffee or breakfast treat.  The bulletin is a great source of information for visitors, as is the Information Center.  Let's be a welcoming church!
