Worship This Weekend

Come this Sunday morning to either the 9:00 traditional service or 10:15 progressive service to hear Rev. Jim Warren preach.  This will be the last installment of the February sermon series, "First Followers," which looks at the calling of Jesus' first disciples. We're exploring what these individuals did when they encountered Jesus, and what we can learn from them.

This week, Jesus invites Matthew to follow him, and Matthew does. However, Matthew is a tax collector, and that upsets the Pharisees. If Jesus can welcome a sinner like Matthew, he can welcome us.  The sermon title:  Calling Sinners.  The scripture:  Matthew 9:9-13

The Chancel Choir will bless us with a gift of music at the 9:00 a.m. traditional service.   At the 10:15 a.m. One and All service, our band will not disappoint.

Instead of enjoying a light breakfast at the One and All service this Sunday, the whole church (and friends) can enjoy a delicious brunch just after One and All.  Breakfast casseroles, fruit, and muffins will be served!  All of this will happen in Fellowship Hall.

The Week of Compassion offering will be accepted this Sunday.  L enten Devotionals are available and can be picked up from the table outside the sanctuary or from the table outside Fellowship Hall.

Don't forget that this coming Wednesday is Ash Wednesday.  We will have a meal at 6:00 p.m. and a service (including distribution of ashes) at 6:30 p.m.  All of this will happen in Fellowship Hall.  All are welcome!

Can't attend this Sunday?  Tune in at 9:00 a.m.on our Facebook Page, or on our website ( www.blmfcc.com), to see a live stream of the traditional service!  You can watch  and worship along with folks at FCC.  Be sure to tell your friends!
