It will be a very exciting Sunday at FCC! In our, "You Asked for It -- Again!"
sermon series
Rev. Jim Warren will answer another question
at both services. The topic this week is, "How Can I Believe Everything in the Bible?" Elaborating, Jim says: "Do we have to believe everything in the Bible? What do we have to believe in and about the Bible to be a Christian?" Scripture is II Timothy 3:16-17.
As always, we will have great music at both services. Lou Ann Fillingham, our organist, returns this Sunday to help us worship at 9:00 in the sanctuary at the traditional service. And the gift of music will be a delightful medley by Holly Irvin on flute. Come to the 10:15 progressive service in Fellowship Hall to hear the One and All Band while you worship and enjoy a light breakfast.
This Sunday brings the
FREE and much-anticipated
Faith, Fellowship, and Flip Flops event! It starts with
lunch in Major Hall at 11:30, so stay after worship for a great meal and then some activities. If you attend first service, you won't be bored waiting for lunch! Gather in the Centrum at 10:00 a.m. for some riveting trivia about a variety of things, including some never-before-revealed facts about your church staff. The trivia runs from 10:00 to about 11:30.
Please bring a side dish for lunch and make sure to get your raffle ticket when you go through the serving line. You could win a popcorn machine! After lunch there will be volleyball and children's games outdoors, and bingo with fabulous prizes in Major Hall. It's all FREE!

Reminders
Things to Do While You Are at Church
Bring a donation for, or sign up to volunteer at, the annual Block Party
. Items needed include cakes,
cookies, school supplies,
and money to cover school kits and miscellaneous expenses. Volunteers are needed for various roles at the event. Sign up or donate at the Information Center.
Bring your Box Tops for Education for Bent School. Place them in the Disciples Women's Ministries mailbox near the office and they will be taken to the school by May Jackson. Thank you!
Check In on Facebook while you are at church (top right button on Facebook app news feed). At the One and All service feel free to use your device for social media, to share photos and thoughts about your worship experience as it happens.
Make a new friend! Greet a visitor. Show folks around and help them with questions they might have -- you might even invite them to Faith, Fellowship, and Flip Flops, which will be a super way to break the ice! There is no need for visitors to bring a side dish. The bulletin is a great source of information for visitors, as is the Information Center. Let's be a welcoming church!
