This Sunday, Rev. Jim Warren will ask, "Did You Hear the One About the Rich Man?"
as part of the "Did You Hear the One About..." sermon series. At
the 9:00 traditional or the 10:15 progressive One and All service Jim will preach about this parable found in Luke 16:19-31. A rich man dies and sees the beggar Lazarus in heaven. The rich man asks for relief, but receives none because he had his chance in life to do good.
Our gift of music at 9:00 a.m. will be a solo, The Lord is My Shepherd, by Carolyn Stucky. Have you attended One and All lately? The band has a new vocalist/guitarist, Mitchell, and he is doing an excellent job of leading us in music. Come listen and worship at 10:15 in Fellowship Hall, where a light breakfast will be available. Invite a friend to join you! If you prefer, there will be donut holes and coffee in the Centrum after the first service. It's a super opportunity to make a new friend out of a visitor!
Worship and Wonder resumes this Sunday.
Gifts for Another Table:
Non-perishable food items brought to church during August will be given to a very worthy food pantry by the name of Ministry & More. Needed items are canned fruit and vegetables, boxed meals such as Hamburger Helper and macaroni and cheese, canned soup, crackers, cookies, peanut butter, jelly, cereal, and instant mashed potatoes.
