Worship This Weekend
FCC Stained Glass

This Sunday, Rev. Jim Warren will preach at both the 9:00 traditional and the 10:15 progressive One and All service.  Come learn about, "Listening to Others and the Holy Spirit," and Psalm 46The Psalmist says, "Be still, and know that I am God." How can we be still before God and listen for God's voice?

Our gift of music will be presented by the Chancel Choir at the 9:00 a.m. service.  At 10:15, the One and all band will be playing upbeat, meaningful music as we worship in Fellowship Hall.  Invite a friend to join you for this relaxing, welcoming service complete with excellent teaching, prayer stations, a light breakfast, and friendly folks.

It is Promotion Sunday, so at the 9:00 service third graders will receive Bibles from First Christian Church to encourage their learning about their faith, and our preschoolers, children, and youth will all begin Sunday School.  They should meet their teachers after the 9:00 service in the sanctuary. You may pick up your child at 11:15 in his or her
classroom (see your bulletin for room numbers).

Reminders
Things to Do While
You Are at Church

Find out more about the Operation Santa effort led by the Disciples Women's Ministries by visiting the easel at the Information Center or visiting with Jan Dyer about what is needed.

Pick up your copies of two reports, First Christian Church - Trustee-Held Property, Accounts, Debts and First Christian Church Endowment Fund, presented to the Official Board on September 17, at the Information Center.

Encourage a friend to write his or her email address on an attendance pad if he or she isn't currently getting emailed newsletters.  There is a new attractive and handy electronic version of The Messenger that your friends might like.

Make a new friend!  Greet a visitor. Greet someone another member has greeted!  Several contacts truly make a person feel welcome.  A great resource for helping a visitor is the bulletin, and you can also walk them to the Information Center for another warm greeting and more information.

"Check In" on Facebook while you are at church.  And at the One and All service feel free to use your device for social media, to share photos and thoughts about your worship experience as it happens.
