this Sunday we will have a guest preacher as Rev. Jim Warren takes some time away. Dr. Lloyd Hulit will be preaching on, "The Limits of Forgiveness," referencing the familiar passage Matthew 18:21-35.
Lloyd and his family have strong spiritual and personal ties to First Christian, having previously been members for over 30 years. Lloyd will preach at both services.
The Gift of Music for this Sunday is, "Faithfulness," by Joel Raney, sung by a Ladies' Ensemble (
Beverly Leight, Marla McElroy, Holly Irvin, Linda Lehmann, and Debbie Schultz) at the
9:00 traditional service. The One and All band will be ready to rock at the 10:15 One and All progressive service, so grab a coffee and plate of breakfast treats as you worship and sing along (in Fellowship Hall).
A message about Gifts for Another Table:
During the month of August, our gifts will be given to The Boys & Girls Club. Suggestions of needed items are: tall white kitchen garbage bags, 55-gallon garbage bags, toilet paper, latex gloves, band aids of all sizes, ziplock bags (sandwich, quart, gallon), and quality ice cube trays.
