May Christ continue to be the Potter, shaping us for His kingdom purposes throughout 2026!

We are excited to share a significant development in our campus improvement journey. Over the spring and summer months of 2026, our school will relocate three North Campus classroom buildings (i.e., Buildings E, F, and J) to the lower playing field area adjacent to Building A. This lower field is where four modular units (eight classrooms) already reside. By the time school resumes next fall, we plan to have created an excellent new learning space, affectionately called our “Modular Village.” This project is being undertaken in partnership with LPA, Cordoba Corporation, and C.W. Driver, and we are working diligently so that everything is completed before students return for the new school year. We share this news with great optimism, knowing that our plans rest in God’s hands. We see this project as part of His provision and plan for our school’s future.

Key Leader Highlight: Principal Dan Moyer

Dr. Dan Moyer serves as the Principal of Crean Lutheran High School and has been a dedicated member of the Crean community for over 13 years. He began his career at Crean Lutheran as the Vice Principal of Academics before stepping into his current leadership role. Dr. Moyer was drawn to Crean Lutheran after previously working in middle schools, feeling called to serve high school students during some of the most formative and influential years of their lives. As a student, Dr. Moyer was highly involved in campus life. He participated in football, soccer, and wrestling, and also served as team manager for both the soccer and wrestling teams. In addition, he was an active member of the German Club. One of his favorite memories at Crean Lutheran was when it was Sweats 4 Saints Day, and the campus had to evacuate due to a fire, so now, Dr. Moyer always wears jeans in case he needs to meet with the fire department again. Dr. Moyer’s advice for high school students is to take advantage of the opportunities in front of you, to follow your passions in all you do, and to have fun. His favorite Bible verse is Colossians 3:23. The Crean Lutheran community is deeply grateful for Dr. Moyer’s leadership, commitment, and heart for students.

Annual Stakeholder Survey

Crean Lutheran TEDx Youth Event - January 24

TEDx Youth is coming back to Crean Lutheran! On January 24, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Blackbox Theatre, Crean Lutheran will host its second annual TEDx Youth event, organized by junior Amelia Albelo and faculty advisor Ms. Leslee Myers. Crean Lutheran students are invited to listen to four prestigious speakers share about their career paths, which will be recorded live for the official TEDx Youth organization. Speakers include a retired family medicine doctor; a consultant who will honor his grandmother, who was a Holocaust survivor and member of the French Resistance; a former KABC reporter and journalist; and Crean Lutheran’s very own science and engineering teacher, Mr. Bennett.

2026-2027 Servant Leadership Team Applications

Applications for the 2026-2027 Servant Leadership Team open Monday, January 26, and are due Tuesday, February 10. This application process is for returning Crean Lutheran students only. Incoming Freshmen and transfers will have a separate application process and will receive instructions at a later date.

Students who are interested in serving on SLT for the coming school year may pick up a paper application from Ms. Marraccino (A107b) or Ms. Eltiste’s desk in the Admissions suite. Applications must be turned in directly to Ms. Marraccino (A107b) or in the dropbox outside the classroom. Once your application is processed, you will receive an email with instructions to schedule an interview time slot. Do NOT turn in your application to the front desk.

Visual Arts Conservatory Application Now Open

The Visual Arts Conservatory application is now open for the 2026–27 school year. The Visual Arts Conservatory is a program designed for students interested in exploring careers in the Visual Arts, including fields in Graphic Design, Web Design, Architecture, Illustration, Photography, Animation, Art History, Art Therapy, and Studio Arts. If you are interested in being a part of the Conservatory, please fill out the application. This program is open to all students in grades 9–12 who are enrolled in a Visual Arts course.

Application deadlines:

• February 15, 2026, for current Crean Lutheran students
• March 15, 2026, for students new to Crean Lutheran for the 2026–27 school year

Winter Formal Dance - February 7

Winter Formal 2026 will take place on Saturday, February 7, from 7:00 - 10:00 p.m. at the Gillette House (17475 Gillette Ave, Suite 100, Irvine, CA 92614). Tickets will be sold from Monday, January 26, until Friday, February 6, at noon. Tickets will be sold through GoFan. To purchase a ticket, you will need to enter your CLHS Student ID number in the "access code" section.

Student Ticket Prices:

• Early Bird Student Ticket (Monday, January 26, at 8:00 a.m. to Monday, February 2 at 11:59 a.m.): $100
• Regular Student Ticket (Monday, February 2, at NOON to Friday, February 6, at 12:00 p.m.): $110
• Late Ticket at the Door: $160 (regular ticket price + $50 late fee) - CASH OR CHECK ONLY

Students can invite outside guests to this dance. The Crean Lutheran Guest Dance Contract must be submitted to the Dean's Office (A109a) for approval no later than Wednesday, February 4, at 3:00 p.m. Once your guest is approved, you will receive an access code to purchase your guest's ticket through GoFan. As a reminder, guest tickets will not be sold at the door. The price of a Guest Ticket is $110.

All Crean Lutheran Dance Rules for appropriate dress and student behavior must be followed. 

Winter Formal recommended attire is semi-formal:

• Guys: slacks with dress shirt & tie/bow-tie (suit jacket optional)
• Girls: either a short or a floor-length dress
• Comfortable, easy-to-dance-in shoes

Re-Enrollment Information - February 1

Crean Lutheran is excited to begin re-enrollment for the 2026-27 school year for all returning students. You will receive your 2026-27 re-enrollment invoice, which is $850 per student for Domestic Students and $950 per student for International Students, along with your tuition contract by the first week in January. February 1 is the due date for completing the contract and submitting your registration fee to continue your student's enrollment. The registration fee is non-refundable. If you will be returning and payment is not received by February 1, a $50 late fee will be assessed.

Please complete the following steps to re-enroll and register your student for classes for the upcoming 2026-27 school year. If you have a returning student and a new incoming student, you will submit your registration fee and contract for the new incoming student by the given deadline and for your returning student(s) by February 1, along with the contracts. If you have only a new incoming student, you can disregard this, as you will follow the standard enrollment process for new incoming students.

Step 1: Complete the 2026-27 Tuition Contract that will be sent to you by email from FACTS. This can only go to one email, and it is sent to the first email address on your FACTS account.

Step 2: Pay the registration fee. If you have selected the AutoPay option in FACTS, this payment will process automatically on February 1.

Crean Lutheran SAT Prep Program

The College Blueprint is offering an SAT Prep program on campus from Saturday, January 24, to Saturday, March 7, at 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. This specialized program will provide experienced tutors who will share valuable preparation techniques, curriculum insights, practice exams, and a personalized testing schedule.

Alaska Mission Trip - June 6 - 14

Join the Alaska Mission Trip from June 6 –14, a week-long opportunity to serve alongside Alaska Mission for Christ in Nenana and Fairbanks, Alaska. Students will help lead Vacation Bible School for local youth and assist with community outreach projects, supporting the ongoing ministry serving Alaskan communities. Applications are now open and close on February 4.
