Giving Tuesday is Almost Here!

On December 2, Giving Tuesday, Crean Lutheran invites our entire Saints community to support “Ave’s Place”, a special project on the upcoming El Salvador Mission Trip, created in loving memory of Avarie Tierney, Class of 2023.

“Ave’s Place” will be a life-changing resource center for children and adults with developmental disabilities in San Salvador, reflecting Avarie’s heart for service, compassion, and Christ-centered love.

We are deeply grateful to Averie's parents, Steve and Michelle Tierney, whose generosity will match every gift dollar for dollar up to $10,000, doubling the impact of your support.

Your support helps continue Avarie’s legacy, bringing hope, care, and Christ’s love to those who are in great need. 

Trees for Troops Now on Sale! Order by November 28

Trees for Troops sales are now open! Order your Christmas tree, a Tree for the Troops, and other festive decor by Friday, November 28, to bless Crean Lutheran Student-Athletes, Athletics, and Missions! The adorable Reindeer and Snowmen sell out every year - so order now!

All items will be ready for pick-up between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 6, at the Crean Lutheran Athletic Complex. Any items not picked up will be donated to military families at the Pendleton Base.

Sweats 4 Saints - Friday, December 5

Friday, December 5, is Sweats 4 Saints day! Students wishing to participate can bring $2 and wear sweats. All donations will support LeadaChild,  a Lutheran Mission Agency dedicated to sharing the Good News of Jesus’ love with children through Christian education in third-world countries by providing scholarships and school supplies.

Pajamas and leggings are not permitted; sweats and joggers only. Students must wear a Crean Lutheran spirit shirt, polo shirt, or sweatshirt with their sweats. Students who are out of dress code will be issued a dress code violation.

Semester 1 Final Exam Schedule

As we approach the end of the semester, we recognize the importance of each student’s dedication and hard work. To ensure smooth and organized exam sessions, we are pleased to release the final examination schedule for the Fall 2024 semester:

*Please note that Students are expected to take final examinations during the scheduled examination block. Planned absence(s) (vacation, competition, scheduled appointment, etc.) are not permitted during final examination periods. Students who are not in attendance for one or more finals may receive a “0” on each missed final examination.

In times of challenge, let us draw inspiration from the wisdom of Proverbs 16:3 (ESV): “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” Students, as you commit your efforts to diligent study, remember that you can overcome any obstacle with faith and determination. May your preparations be guided by faith, and may you approach your exams with confidence and grace.

American Legion Auxiliary California Girls State 

ALA California Girls State is a work and study program in functional government. Current issues are discussed in group sessions and during the legislative process. The ALA California Girls State program is a highly worthwhile and valuable opportunity for students who have completed their Junior year to participate in a week-long session focused on learning, responsible citizenship, and leadership. The art of civil debate is one of the main skills learned at this premier program, hosted by the American Legion Auxiliary since 1937. Many ALA Girls State participants have gone on to a lifetime of service to our country in the military, civil service, or advocacy.
