Thank You To All Who Have Given This Week Toward Crean Lutheran High School’s Giving Tuesday - There is still time to give to this year's Giving Tuesday!

If you have not had the opportunity to participate, we invite you to join us in honoring the life and legacy of Avarie Tierney, Class of 2023, by supporting "Ave’s Place", a transformative resource center for developmentally disabled children and adults in San Salvador. 

Avarie was called home to Heaven this past March during her sophomore year of college while studying abroad in Italy. "Ave’s Place" reflects Avarie’s compassionate spirit, sharing Christ’s love and care with those in need. 

Your support will bring hope and Christ’s light to some of the most vulnerable in San Salvador and continue Avarie’s legacy of love, service, and faith.

Trees for Troops Distribution - December 6

If you ordered an item for Trees for Troops, items are available for pickup tomorrow, Saturday, December 6, at the Crean Lutheran Athletic Complex (6301 Portola Pkwy, Irvine, CA 92620).



• Items will be available for pick-up from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Any items left behind after 10:00 AM will not be kept and will be donated on the same day. No exceptions.
• Please bring proof of purchase to show at check-in (i.e., order confirmation email).

If you purchased items for yourself and donated items to the troops, please double-check your order to make sure you know which items you are picking up for yourself.

Feel Good Finals Week - December 8-12

Crean Lutheran will kick off "Feel Good Finals Week" from December 8 to 12, offering fun, Christmas-themed activities to help students recharge, refocus, and head into finals with joy and confidence.

Joy of Christmas - December 9

"Joy of Christmas: The First Noel" invites you to embark on a heartwarming musical journey, featuring beloved Christmas carols and festive favorites. Join us for this special concert showcasing the talented performers from Crean Lutheran High School’s music and dance programs on Tuesday, December 9, at 7:00 p.m. at the Irvine Barclay Theater.

Cocoa & Cram Final Exam Study Session for Freshmen - December 10

All Freshmen are invited to Cocoa & Cram, a finals week study session, on Wednesday, December 10, from 1:15 to 4:00 p.m. in the MPR. Teachers and SLT-LINK leaders will be ready to assist you in all subject areas as you prepare for your first finals week. You are welcome to stay for as little or as long as your schedule allows. Free hot cocoa and treats will be provided.

Be the Miracle Collecting Donations Deadline - December 11

Be the Miracle is underway now through December 11, spreading Christmas joy to foster and adoptive families served by OliveCrest. Students and families are invited to pick up a gift tag—available on the Christmas trees by the front desk and on North Campus—and donate a $25–$50 gift for OliveCrest’s Christmas store. Unwrapped gifts can be placed in the collection box at the front desk. Together, we can make this season brighter for children and families who need it most.

Semester 1 Final Exam Schedule - December 15-18

As we approach the end of the semester, we recognize the importance of each student’s dedication and hard work. To ensure smooth and organized exam sessions, we are pleased to release the final examination schedule for the Fall 2024 semester:

*Please note that Students are expected to take final examinations during the scheduled examination block. Planned absence(s) (vacation, competition, scheduled appointment, etc.) are not permitted during final examination periods. Students who are not in attendance for one or more finals may receive a “0” on each missed final examination.

In times of challenge, let us draw inspiration from the wisdom of Proverbs 16:3 (ESV): “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” Students, as you commit your efforts to diligent study, remember that you can overcome any obstacle with faith and determination. May your preparations be guided by faith, and may you approach your exams with confidence and grace.

American Legion Auxiliary California Girls State 

ALA California Girls State is a work and study program in functional government. Current issues are discussed in group sessions and during the legislative process. The ALA California Girls State program is a highly worthwhile and valuable opportunity for students who have completed their Junior year to participate in a week-long session focused on learning, responsible citizenship, and leadership. The art of civil debate is one of the main skills learned at this premier program, hosted by the American Legion Auxiliary since 1937. Many ALA Girls State participants have gone on to a lifetime of service to our country in the military, civil service, or advocacy.

Complimentary Will & Family Trust Seminar for our Saints Community - December 15 & February 17

Do you have a Will/Family Trust or a Medical Advanced Directive in place for your loved ones? Two-thirds of all adults do not have these important documents in place. Crean Lutheran has partnered with Financial Planning Ministry to provide this opportunity for families and friends to complete these documents at no cost to you. Last year, over 100 Saints families took advantage of this opportunity.
