Homecoming Football Game - September 20
Everyone is invited to attend the Homecoming Football Game tonight at 7:00 p.m. at Portola High School Stadium. Crean Lutheran will provide free admission for prospective families and alumni. There will be an extended half-time with student performances and the homecoming court ceremony.
New Boys Lacrosse Coach
Crean Lutheran is excited to announce that Will McMinn has been named the new Boys Lacrosse coach. Already a member of the Greater Los Angeles/ OC U.S. Lacrosse Hall of Fame, Coach McMinn has over 30 years of coaching experience at the high school and collegiate level, earning numerous awards and recognitions. Coach McMinn will lead the boys lacrosse team in their third season this spring.

College Tour Information Meeting - September 24
The Counseling Department is offering two different college tours.

  1. A day trip to Los Angeles to visit Pepperdine University and UCLA on February 12.
  2. An overnight trip to Texas to visit Rice University, Texas A&M, Baylor University, Texas Christian University, and Southern Methodist University over Easter Break, April 13-17. View the tentative itinerary here.

Blue Online Learning Day - September 27
Friday, September 27 is the first Online Learning Day of the school year. It is a Blue Online Learning Day, meaning students will have online work from their Blue day classes. Students do not come to campus and should complete all work at home.
8th Grade Preview Day
Crean Lutheran is hosting its annual 8th Grade Preview Day on Friday, October 4 from 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Please register your younger siblings to attend this fun event.

Last Friday night the performing arts department hosted Saints Got Talent.

Freshman Andrew An participated in the USA Baseball National Champions Series in Cary, North Carolina. After a great pitching performance in the semifinal, his southwest regional team won the silver medal in the championship game.
Concordia University’s Night of Hope to Benefit Bethesda

Saturday, September 28 from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. at the CUI Outdoor Amphitheater. Live music featuring The Eagle and Child, and CUI's very own Tribe & Tongue and Shore Lane. Free food, fun booths, a night to celebrate and support Bethesda Lutheran Communities and the hope they bring to adults with special needs here in Orange County!
